This project analyses the concepts and importance of the procedure manuals in the structure of an organization and their contribution in the development of accident investigations. By means of the Procedures Manual for the accidents research team of the Special Administrative Unit from Aeronaútica Civil, it is sought to formulate an effective answer set against an event of aviation through the standardization of the Accidents Investigation processes.
This work is framed inside of documentary applied and descriptive research supported in sources obtained in books, articles, manuals, papers, guides and others related to the investigation of aviation accidents, to create descriptive designs through standard procedures and expanded lists that describe the processes involved in the investigation. To manage and organize these processes was necessary to study and to define the tasks as well as the responsibilities of each one of the members of the accidents research team to balance the loads of work and to create synchrony in the phases of the investigation, to design forms and check lists to provide the investigator effective tools for the investigative process.
As evaluative strategy in its development phase, training for the use of the manual was given to the accidents research team of the unit. The results of the same were analyzed in order to get some conclusions and recommendations, which confirm the importance of the implementation of the manual by the members of the group.
