The economist: Today and tomorrow a teaching experience

This article analyzes the profession of economist and the economics as a science from an illustrative point of view. Economics was established as a science in the mid-eighteenth century, but economical processes in society dates back to Greece and Rome. The origin of modern economical thought has its beginning in ancient Greece. The Greek philosophers were the first to analyze and consider various issues related to what is known as economics. In this way, this paper remarks on the economist and its participation in other disciplines, challenges and results on a teaching and research experience in the area of historical economics for almost ten years.
